Day by Day Itinerary of Ama Yangri Trek:


Itinerary For Domestic Tourists: 


Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Timbu and Trek to Tarkeghyang 


You can take the local bus from Kathmandu to Timbu. It will cost only Rs300 per person. It is 4-5 hours off-road drive. From Timbu, you have to hike up to 4 hours to reach Tarkeghyang. Tarkeghyang is a beautifully settle Buddhist village which is also known as the gateway of Ama Yangri Peak. If you don’t like to travel on the local bus, then you also go on your motorbike. The plus point is that Motor Bike also reaches Tarkeghyang. 


Day 2: Hike up to Ama Yangri and Trek Back to Tarkegyang


On the second day, you must wake up early in the morning. You must take a heavy breakfast before leaving for Ama Yangri Peak. It is because there are no tea houses on the way. It will take three and a half hours to reach Ama Yangri Peak. After the exploration of a breathtaking view of 360-degree of the mystic mountain and praying in Ama Yangri Goddess. You have to trek back to Tarkegyang.


Day 3: Trek Back to Timbu and Drive Back to Kathmandu


On the final day, you have to leave Tarkegyang after having breakfast and trek back to Timbu from where you will get a local bus for Kathmandu.
